my Travel bLOG

In this new page which I have chosen to call “Travel bLOG", I will in the future gather all my travel stories and photographs in order for them to be more accessible and easier to find. I have written and collected quite a few stories already, and with your continued support and kindness, there might be many more to read in the future.

As you can see, I’m no professional writer, but I do love doing what I do, and to me, that is what’s important. I may have opinions about so much, and I do not expect them to be correct. Sometimes, I may even be be boldly honest. No matter what, my travels are flavoured by my own experiences, where I come from, what I have seen, and how I read the environment around me at the time.

I’ve said it so many times before, I do love travelling, I do love taking pictures and I do love writing. Therefore, quite naturally, I also love writing about my encounters, thoughts and experiences on those journeys. Through my life, and thanks to a fantastic career as a seaman, I have been extremely fortunate to see way more places than the average person gets to see.  So far, my travels have taken me to a little more than 200 countries, territories and island chains on all five continents. Naturally, I would like to go back to visit many of these places once again, but in all fairness, it is safe to say that many of these places will never be possible to visit again.

To be politically correct, and just to have it made perfectly clear, I do not have any favourite place, but I have great memories from many. I tend to have a passion for South East Asia, but then there are those exotic islands in the South Pacific, or far-away places like New Zealand and Australia. But, there is one place in which the magic will never, ever be surpassed: the Antarctica! That was an almost unbelieveable experience all throughout: perhaps I’ll show you some pictures here later?
