Back online again… with a mirage

As January 2016 kicked off, technical troubles on my server made it impossible to update my Captain’s bLOG. But, now, as the problems have been fixed, I’m back online again with a post containing some images.†

Weather in Trondheim is very cold these days, and there is great effort behind something as simple as going out. I did however have a tiny trip out with a friend today, and these are some of the images I brought back home.†

Do you see the ship displayed at the former maritime school of Trondheim?

Munkholmen all quiet, cold and deserted.†

Agdenes departing Vannvikan on the other side of the fjord.†

A mirage is a naturally occurring optical phenomenon in which light rays are bent to produce a displaced image of distant objects or the sky. The word comes to English via the French mirage, from the Latin mirari, meaning "to look at, to wonder at". This is the same root as for "mirror" and "to admire".
