A Monarch in the moonlight

As I mentioned in my previous bLOG entry, last night was one of those rare, gorgeous nights to be at work. If you had been the director of the setting, I highly doubt anyone could have done a better job making it more magical. Shortly before 10 PM, the cruiseship Monarch (former Monarch of the Seas) had replaced all of her guests, and were embarking on a brand new voyage.

The moon had risen from behind Værnes airport like a big aircraft, shortly before her departure. With my trusted camera in hand, no tripod and a moving ferry beneath my feet, these are the images I managed to capture at almost the maximum allowable ISO-setting. Despite their grainy quality, I still think they’ll end up in this months favourite shots captured.
