Welcome to CaptainsVoyage©
First of all and before anything else is said, I would like to take this opportunity to extend a
warm welcome to you all and thank you for taking some time to visit these pages which I
certainly hope will be of interest for you.
Please note that these pages are primarily made as a tribute to the greatest ship in the
world and a ship that has meant so much to me in my life, and which very much has made
me into who I am today - the famed ocean liner SS France, or as more recently known,
the cruise liner SS Norway.
As you will quickly see from these pages, the ocean has played a significant part of my
life but despite this passion for our oceans, I have also dedicated much of this website to
cover many of my other different interests. Based on that, I hope being able to reach many
people from all over the world and give them a few moments of interesting reading.
In order to present myself, my name is Jan-Olav Storli (click name to see my pictures so far in my
life), born in July 1972 (but aging gracefully), a young Norwegian man with many varied
hobbies and interests. I started working on cruise ships back in 1991 after ending studies
at the maritime academy but have now temporarily stepped ashore and I’m working as an
Expatriate Public Relations Manager here in Bangkok, Thailand.
I am a fairly new website builder, and have learnt a lot the hard way but not quite all yet. I
therefore hope and wish you will bare with me through some possible glitches but that you
will also continue to support these pages by frequently returning and looking for the
updates.
You may show your appreciation for these pages by taking a short moment to add your
mark on the world map or leave a short message for all to read in the guest book (both
links found just below this message). I thank you for your time and look forward to getting
to know you all.
